Armstrong Redwoods is a magical place where families can walk among ancient giants. The old-growth redwood forest features trees over 1,000 years old and reaching over 300 feet tall.

  • Colonel Armstrong Tree: Over 1,400 years old
  • Parson Jones Tree: 310 feet tall

Pioneer Trail & Discovery Trail Loop

  • Distance: 1.7 miles round trip
  • Difficulty: Easy, mostly flat
  • Strollers: Navigable with sturdy stroller
  • Special Features: Discovery Trail has Braille placards for accessibility

Dog Policy

Dogs are only allowed on the main paved road and in picnic areas. Dogs are NOT permitted on trails to protect the forest ecosystem.

  • $10 per vehicle ($9 for seniors)
